My integrative style of bodywork combines elements of Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Chinese Tui Na massage with Polarity Therapy energy balancing to achieve pain relief, stress release, and a fully relaxed and connected presence in you. The main modalities that I utilize are Chinese Tui Na, Acupressure, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Polarity Therapy, Reflexology, and Craniosacral Therapy: * Chinese Tui Na -An active form of bodywork, utilizing the theory of Chinese energetics to release stagnation and move qi to relieve pain and restore range-of-motion and musculoskeltal health. * Acupressure - Deliberate pressing of acu-points on the body to stimulate and mobilize qi. Particular points are chosen depending on the client's needs. * Swedish - Long and soothing strokes. Relieves muscle tension, energizes circulation, nourishes the body. * Deep Tissue - Slow, deliberate strokes on specific muscles. Loosens deep layers of muscle and fascia (connective tissue) to release long held restrictions. Improves the structural alignment of the body. * Polarity Therapy - Light bodywork based on the Indian Ayurvedic concept of how energy, or prana, flows in the body. Highly effective at releasing tension, pain, and anxiety, especially as each relates to emotional blockages. * Reflexology - Working directly with the hands or feet benefits the whole body. The hands, feet, ears, and other parts of the body can be seen as a microcosm of the whole body. Points in these areas 'reflect' back to other areas of the body. * Craniosacral - Very subtle balancing of the flow of cerebrospinal fluid. This fluid pulses through the cranium and down around the spinal cord to the sacrum in a rhythmic motion. With a very light touch, restrictions in this movement can be released and the fluid is able to flow more freely, resulting in the body having greater access to its own healing source.
