Pastime has an enourmous selection of hardware and housewares. They have a great Take-a-number system so you know you'll get helped without having to hound someone, and if the line is long you can look around a bit on your own while waiting for your number to be called. Lee from ShopInBerkeley says: If you can't find it in Berkeley, shop here before you go to a 'home center' big box.

Thanks for all your feedback. Over 300 people voted in my "should I close" poll, and overwhelmingly people want me to stay in business. My "day job" is a high school science teacher, so it's time for another summer push of improvements to the site. Look for them in July and August! Thanks for your input,
