Businesses: My standard web pages are always free,
and you control the content! If you're interested in having slightly more
elaborate web pages created and housed on the ShopInBerkeley site, please
email or phone me for low rates—especially those businesses who aren't sure
if they can or should have a presence on the web.

ShopInBerkeley is being developed by Lee Trampleasure Amosslee, a Berkeley
High science teacher and a third generation Berkeley resident. I’m developing
the site to help people shop locally. My goal is not to retire from teaching
(I love it too much), but to support local businesses in creating a simple
web site so people can find local business to shop at rather than thinking
they need to go to www.megacorp.com.
My goal is to provide a quality internet index to small businesses in Berkeley.
Many businesses don't have their own web site, and I provide them with a
low-cost, small corner of the internet. My goal is not to provide highly
interactive products and services, but rather to provide customers and clients
24 hour access to information about:
- business hours
- products and services
- address and phone number
- maps to their business
- links to their own web sites (for those who have one)
Our pages are designed for speedy download on ALL internet connections with:
- no annoying ad banners from other businesses
;
- minimal and compact images;
- alternative text for all images;
- no Java, Javascript, or other “bells and whistles” codes that may
not run on older browsers.
Businesses that would like to join ShopInBerkeley should click on the
Sign up
link here or above for more details. Membership
is free for eternity! Businesses who wish to
have additional web pages on the ShopInBerkeley site should click the appropriate
check box on the sign up form. I'll contact you with more details. My goal
is to provide a simple but content rich resource for businesses and consumers
in Berkeley.
