City CarShare

City CarShare is a Bay Area Non-Profit dedicated to providing an alternative to exclusive car ownership. Members share a fleet of hundreds of cars, parked in neighborhood areas. Many City CarShare members find they are able to forego car ownership, or eliminate a second car. Car Share members are able to pick from a variety of fun and/or practical vehicle types, to best meet the need of each trip.

Membership in City CarShare involves a refundable deposit and a monthly fee. Members are responsible for filling the gas, as the pickup locations are unattended. The City CarShare organization takes care of most other hassles of car ownership including washing, repairs, insurance, gas, and depreciation. 24/7 roadside support keeps the cars moving. All reservations are round-trip [members drop the car off where it was picked up].
