Berkeley Iceland is closed :-(

No one knows what will happen to the facility, but for the time being there is no more ice skating in Berkeley. The closest place to ice skate is now the Oakland Ice Center. Usually during the December holiday season, an outdoor ice rink is set up at The Embarcadero Center in San Francisco.

A non-profit group called Save Berkeley Iceland is raising money to purchase the building and re-opening the rink. Visit their web site for more information or to make a donation.
